In 2014 NSS have built aluminium catamaran for norwegian ship owner. Aluminum construction assure small weight, durability, better maneuvering and smaller fuel consumption.
The ship is powered with two SCANIA DI12 engines where each generate 370 hp, on the PTO of both engines are installed two pumps which power all hydraulic systems on the ship. The vessel i salso equiped with generator that generate 20 kVA. There are also two Nogva CPP propeller systems with water lubricated sterntune and flexible stuffingbox. Shorepower is automatically disconected when the generator is started.
On the ship there is hydraulic crane installed Palfinger PK32002 M of max outreach 20,6m, max lifting moment 31,5 mt and max lifting capacity 10,870 kg, two Tenfjord capstans of 3 and 2 T pulling force and two side thrusters Sleipner SH550.
Control of the side thrusters and the main drive is possible from the wheelhouse as well as from the work deck.
On the engines are also installed pumps which power fire system, wash down system and the bilge system.
The heating system for the social area and the wheelhouse was built based on the Mikuni system. Defroster and hot sanitary water installation are using the heat energy from the engine cooling system. When the ship is moored the heat is generated from the electric boiler.
The vessel is equipped with modern Simrad navigation devices, autopilot, radar, as well as GPS and AIS devices, catamaran also have sounder.
On the ship there is a PHILLIPI electronic tanks monitoring system which is connected with emergency and starting batteries systems.
